The Full Deployment Process

From first call to live OEE.
Step by step. No surprises.

Here's exactly what happens between you applying as a design partner and your Plant Manager looking at a live OEE dashboard.

STEP 01 · DAY 0

You apply or book a call

Fill out the design partner application or book a 30-minute call directly with Mutembei. We ask about your machines (brand, age, communication ports), your current OEE setup (or lack thereof), and your downtime pain. No sales pitch — it's a qualification conversation.

What we're looking for: Plants with 10+ year old machinery, no existing digital OEE, real downtime cost (typically $1,500-$5,000+ per hour), and a decision-maker who can sign a $4,500 deposit.

STEP 02 · DAY 1-3

Technical fit check

Send us a few photos of your machine control panels and any spec sheets you have. Our team identifies the communication protocols (RS485, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC-UA, EtherNet/IP) and confirms which of your machines are compatible. We're honest if something won't work — better to know on day 3 than day 30.

Compatible brands include: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Fanuc, ABB, Schneider, INVT, Yaskawa, and most VFDs and motor drives manufactured since 2005.

STEP 03 · DAY 5-7

Sign agreement + $4,500 deposit

One-page Design Partner Agreement signed via DocuSign. $4,500 deposit invoiced via Stripe — credit card or ACH. This deposit covers your Dekascale Node hardware, on-site installation, and the first month of subscription. It's fully credited against year-1 invoicing.

The guarantee: If we can't get your OEE dashboard live within 48 hours of arriving on-site, the full $4,500 is refunded. No questions, no negotiation. We carry the deployment risk, not you.

STEP 04 · DAY 8-21

We pre-configure your Node

Based on the machine info from Step 2, we build a custom Node image specifically for your plant. Tag mappings configured for your exact PLCs, OEE model calibrated for your production type, dashboard layout pre-built. The Node arrives plug-and-play.

The hardware: Industrial-grade Raspberry Pi-based Node with 3× RS485 ports, dual Ethernet, ruggedized enclosure, DIN-rail mountable for panel installation. Approximately the size of a paperback book.

STEP 05 · INSTALL DAY 1 · MORNING

We arrive on-site

We ship the Node, cables, and everything needed for the install. We work with your maintenance lead to identify the best Node location (typically in a control cabinet near your main panel). RS485 cables get connected to your VFDs, drives, or PLC communication ports.

Typical install time: 2-4 hours for 3 machines. No machine downtime required — we tap into existing communication ports without interrupting production.

STEP 06 · INSTALL DAY 1 · AFTERNOON

Tag validation + data flowing

We verify that the Node is reading the correct tags from each machine — running counts, alarm states, motor RPM, cycle times. The OEE model starts ingesting live data. Your Plant Manager gets the dashboard URL on a tablet or any device on the plant network.

STEP 07 · INSTALL DAY 2

Plant Manager training + go-live

30-minute training session with your Plant Manager and 1-2 operators. We walk through the dashboard, configure SMS downtime alerts (which numbers, which conditions, threshold times), and set up shift-based reporting. By end of day 2, your plant has live OEE for the first time.

This is the guarantee point. If the dashboard isn't live with real data by end of Day 2, the deposit is refunded and we leave the hardware. No catches.

STEP 08 · ONGOING

Monthly partner relationship

Direct WhatsApp/Signal channel with Mutembei and Jude. 30-minute monthly call to discuss what's working, what isn't, what you'd add next. Your feedback directly shapes the product roadmap. When we ship new model packs (predictive maintenance, CV inspection), you get them first at design partner pricing.
